There are hundreds of little islands dotted around NZ's coastline. You can buy one - they're not that expensive. As islands go.

Yeah to both - and a hair-dryer, a tv, lots of good food, warm bed, books, washing machine, and some hens. Oh and a few sheep. And a boat!

Just sheep sounds fine to me! What's an island going for these days? Are there any building regs? Would one be allowed to set up a small sanctuary for retired PE teachers? bs
